Washington is my State

Hello,

Have you missed me? I've missed blogging, I'm at the library because we don't have Internet yet. Here's a quick synopsis of the last week.

Last Thursday I left DC. I flew to Denver, Colorado and because of stupid snow my connection was cancelled. This did not make me happy, I was alone and had to stay the night in the airport. NOT a fun experience, but I guess just another adventure to put under my belt.

I spent Friday and Saturday just getting ready to drive to Washington and I also got to see my beautiful friend Tricia on Saturday. She always puts a big smile on my face and I haven't seen her since I got married so it was a real treat. It was also a treat to spend time with my cute nephew Matty and celebrate Melisa's birthday after I picked Cam up from the airport.

We drove up here to Washington on Sunday and didn't have a place to live yet so we stayed in a motel, which wasn't very fun. I got to start work on Monday morning and so Cam did some apartment hunting. He was a master and when I got off work we went and looked and filled out an application. We're really excited to have an apartment and they let us move in yesterday. Sleeping in our sleeping bags on the floor was more comfortable for the both of us then sleeping on the motel bed. Since our stuff isn't here yet and we just have what we brought in our cars, it feels like we're camping in our place. We have sleeping bags, camping chairs, and our clothes. That's pretty much the extent of it. We went shopping last night and bought lots of frozen food because we don't have any kitchen stuff so it has to be able to cook in the microwave or oven and have a container with it. The whole experience is really quite comical. The great news is that we're finally starting to hear when our stuff will get here, there's progress being made and they'll be checking back with us frequently until it gets moved.

That's about all I have to say. My new job is GREAT, I have wonderful coworkers and I still have a lot to learn but I like all I've learned and what I'll be doing.

Til next time

I think it is very comical and it will be one of those things you talk about when you are old.. remember when we had to camp out in our apartment... I miss you two and I am ready to plan a trip up to see you.

Wow! life sounds crazy! Thats fun that you get to experience that though, maybe not now, but later it will be fun to look back at. I would love to see Washington! Maybe after we have our baby, I'll make Aaron take us up there and we can come say HI. Good luck with everything! Sounds like it will be a fun adventure!
